There are numerous things to do and see, like places of historic interest. In the town of Gairloch is a nine hole golf course, certainly the only one in the world where you can see "over the sea to Skye". There is also a unique and delightful Heritage Museum, which reconstructs the life and history of the local people. The warm gulfstream, which makes fish so abundant, also provides the climate for the sub-tropical plants that grow in the world-famous Inverewe Gardens. You can visit Macbeth's Castle or test the legacy of the local beer at Brahan Castle.

STALKING

This is a great sporting estate stretching over four deer forests, and you may wish to experience a week stalking. The stalking season for red deer stags starts at the beginning of September and ends on the 20th October.

FISHING

You can fish for wild brown trout in wild and lovely hill lochs. Among these lochs you will enjoy some of the most famous wild trout fishing in Britain. Fishing is possible from the bank of most lochs, but you can also fish from boats with one of our skilled and friendly keepers. Fly fishing is the tradition of the estate and the keepers are happy to teach beginners the rudiments. Spinning is permitted on a few lochs.Salmon fishing is on a catch and release basis on the Little Gruinard river.
